Harel is a seasoned senior executive with over 22 years of management leadership in the software industry. Harel brings a wealth of expertise in leading, shaping and building global software companies.
Before joining Carmel, Harel was President and CEO of Tecnomatix Technologies (NASDAQ: TCNO). Under his leadership, Tecnomatix established itself as a leader in the Manufacturing Process Management Software Systems, with an impressive customer base of over 5,000 of the world's top manufacturers and key strategic alliances with industry leaders. During his eight year tenure, the company grew to $100 million in revenue and more than 650 employees.
Harel joined Tecnomatix in 1985 and held various senior management positions including, President of U.S. operations, Executive Vice President of Corporate Sales and Engineering, General Manager and COO. He was appointed President in 1995 and a year later in 1996 appointed CEO, and later the Chairman of the company. He led the sale of Tecnomatix to UGS for over $238 million in January 2005.
Harel was the Chairman of ECtel (NASDAQ: ECTL) from 2005 to 2007, where he led a successful turn around of the company. Harel also led the $150 million investment in Lumenis in December 2006, and currently leads the turn-around of the company as active Chairman of the Board.
